Projects
Current Projects
We do our best to support members' ideas for things they'd like to see happen in the garden, seeking funding or support in-kind from local partners. Our recent projects included Winter Crafternoons and the Globe Town Community Cooking Club, supported by Tower Hamlets Council Small Grants Fund.
See below for summaries of projects we are currently running.

Globe Town Community Cooking Club
Community cooking sessions, free for anyone to attend. Recipes have now been edited and are being translated and placed into the layout for publication in the Cranbrook Community Cookbook - launched in September 2025! Click here to order a cookbook.

CCFG Chess Table
A quirky new addition to Berry Lane, an outdoor chess table! Officially launched on 31st May 2025, with a mosaic top created by members and passersby on 17th May.

Young Gardeners' Club
Young Gardeners' Club: activities for ages 4-11 available every Saturday 2-4pm. Gardening, science, art, crafts and cooking. Supported by Tower Hamlets Council Small Grants Fund.

Berry Lane
New planters between the trees that run alongside the path next to the garden, planted with native fruit bushes. Fruits are free for any passerby to pick and enjoy! Funded by the National Lottery Community Action Fund via the Just FACT partnership.

Project Raindrop

Little Free Library
Members have worked hard to build and decorate a Little Free Library for Berry Lane and it was installed at the end of 2024 on top of an old tree stump.

Herbalist
We are looking for a resident herbalist to grow native, medicinal herbs in a dedicated space in the garden, and share their knowledge with members and local residents. Please share this advert with your networks!

Compost Toilet
We are investigating options to create a compost toilet in the garden. Having a toilet would enable us to continue providing events and activities for people of all ages and abilities to comfortably and safely enjoy.
